Yay for LG!

As you may already know, I have officially become part of the team with my bff/sister-in-law Lisa from LGPerspectives! I am beyond excited for this new endeavor and am so happy to be a part of it...I am a former LG, after all! :)

Go here to read my intro interview!

We would love to help style, plan, and capture your special moments on film! Look for invitation designs, party decor, and lifestyle shoots in the near future. Visit LGPerspectives.com for more information!

Clous family cuteness :)

Last weekend, Lisa and I met up with the Clous family at Tunnel Park in Holland. The light that day was tricky, going from behind clouds to super sunny in an instant! And since I'm still a newbie, it was definitely a challenge! These are my best shots of the day :)

this big guy liked picking flowers for his mommy!

Christina & Mitch - married!

Mitch and Christina were married on June 12, 2010, and I had the pleasure of assisting Lisa during their special day! A little while back, Lisa got an awesome new camera - so that means I was able to play around with the old one! So much more complex than a point and shoot - but I have fun trying :)

The back of the bride's beautiful dress!

Mitch and Christina decided to do a reveal before the ceremony, which was so sweet and, I'm sure, nice for them to get a few private moments together (with the exception of us snapping away!)

Gorgeous bouquet! I was pretty obsessed with it...I kept stealing it away for photo shoots :)

Mitch's dad played during the ceremony!

Man...I sure did enjoy that bouquet!

The details were so sweet and cute...I am a sucker for paper crafts!

This cake was seriously amazing

Make your own sundae bar? Don't mind if I do...

Sweet little guy, all dressed up

Love this moment, during the toast

Congrats again, Christina and Mitch! Thank you for letting us be a part of your day :)

What I'm Loving Today...

I know it's not exactly green but...I kind of love sweetheart trees. What's more romantic than a permanent declaration of one's love? Ok, ok, I know sustainability of the planet totally wins. And I've never actually carved anything into a tree. I don't know that I would, either? But I still think the idea of it is pretty cute.

This is as far as I've gone down the "mark your territory" path, a rock on our honeymoon in Niagara Falls. In ink.

Aaaanyway, all this rambling is leading up to the fact that we no longer have to choose between everlasting "you + me = 4ever" and being wracked with guilt for harming a tree, because there is a sudden (or maybe not so sudden...I'm usually behind the trend) outpouring of adorable, tree-sparing, carved-initial jewelry that you can personalize to your heart's content!

Now the question is...which one do I want? ;)

Golden

Today is a very special day...Fifty years ago today, July 1, 1960, my grandparents said their vows and were married.

Cute :)

So many of my good memories come from my grandparents. I can recall countless hours spent at their house, laughing and playing games. Some of my favorite memories come from the camping trips we took each year to Otsego Lake, visiting Hartwick Pines (noooo!), mini-golfing (remember Grandma getting a hole-in-one...on the wrong hole?!?), and marathon games of Crazy 8's with Grandpa (I still maintain that I won...although I *may* have mysteriously misplaced the score sheet...). Girls' shopping days with Grandma, promising not to "Toss Us Away" with Grandpa...the list goes on!me dancing with Grandpa, circa 1992.

My grandparents have always been an important part of my life. So much of who I am is because of them, and I am so happy to be their grandchild!

at our wedding last summer, "winning" the anniversary dance for being married the longest out of all our guests. One of my favorite photos..ever!!

Half a century ago, they say,
A wonderful marriage began that day.
Two beautiful people joined as one,
And worked together to make living fun.

We celebrate now those fifty years;
We raise our glass and give three cheers:
To partners in life in both work and play,
It’s our pleasure to share your golden day.

HAPPY 50TH ANNIVERSARY!!!
